Cambie Corridor Re-Development Moving Forward

In my day to day business and travels I fin myself often driving around the Cambie corridor. As I am sure most of you are aware the area is undergoing some big changes. The latest proposal to hit the streets is along Cambie between 29th and 30th Ave. where the entire block of residential homes was sold not too long ago. Intergulf Development Group has applied to the City of Vancouver to rezone 4533-4591 Cambie Street and 510 West 29th Avenue from RS-1 (One-Family Dwelling) District to CD-1 (Comprehensive Development) District.
The proposal is for three 6-storey residential buildings containing 177 units and 8 townhouses, with 20 per cent of the total number of units (37 units) being provided as market rental housing. The proposal includes a floor space ratio (FSR) of 2.62 and 195 underground parking spaces.
Below are links to the developer proposal taken from the City of Vancouver re-zoning centre application page: https://vancouver.ca/commsvcs/planning/rezoning/applications/4533-4591cambie/index.htm

This is big change for the Vancouver real estate landscape and most importantly is a major face lift for the Cambie Corridor across from Queen Elizabeth park. Your thoughts are welcome both with the City of Vancouver as this re-zoning is still in the application phase, as well as on our site or Facebook page for comments/concerns.
